Making space for parking

Two parking projects have already been started in order to increase the number of stalls available for students, faculty and staff.
Preparation for construction of a parking garage on the current McGloin parking lot has begun, and a new parking lot west of 30th and California streets is already under construction.

The Omaha Symphony will perform Academy Award winner Howard Shore’s masterpiece score from the epic “Lord of the Rings” trilogy Friday and Saturday night at 8 p.m., at the Orpheum Theater. Tickets are $45.
Gollum, Frodo and the gang must still appeal to audiences because “The Lord of the Rings” symphony has been presented in front of theaters full of “Rings” fans worldwide since its debut in New Zealand on Nov. 29, 2003.

Still two weeks — and three regular season contests — removed from the start of the Missouri Valley Conference Basketball Tournament in Normal, Ill., the Creighton women’s basketball team already knows very well what it needs to do at conference tournament time.
