Push for candidacy starts in Iowa

INDIANOLA, Iowa – Presidential hopefuls join thousands of spectators, tromping across muddy paths, while enduring a steady cadence of rain.

Rain has fallen for hours at, the most recent Iowa Democratic event.

All summer long, rain managed to avoid the columns of crops lining Iowa’s countryside.

Now the rain steadily soaked the 5,000 people here.

The Unlimited Sunshine Tour beamed down an eclectic ray of music on Creighton, from the bluegrass of the Hackensaw Boys and Charlie Louvin, to the garage rock riffs of the Detroit Cobras, and finishing with the country twang and funky grooves of headliners Cake.
