Burt Street goes both ways

Parking woes will be stalled for about 50 drivers a day beginning Saturday, when Burt Street opens to two-way traffic from approximately 15th Street to 30th Street.

People should use extra caution driving during the transition, said Lennis Pederson, associate vice president for Administration and director of Facilities Management. He said the city of Omaha probably will mark parallel parking along the north side of Burt Street within the next week.

Under better circumstances, Patrick Connor would be celebrating the release of a CD that was meant to unite the diverse elements in one of the country’s most renowned music scenes.

You just cannot take this Creighton men’s soccer team anywhere.

They have been far from hospitable to guests, and they do not seem to know how to behave in someone else’s house. After beating up on visitors Memphis and Mercer in last weekend’s Diadora Challenge, the Jays will try to topple Tulsa Southern Methodist and host Tulsa at this weekend’s Golden Hurricane Classic.
