Creighton is known for its friendly community and that is what Robert Forrest wants to enhance.
“Creighton is so proud of the community aspect of its campus,” Forrest said. “I want to increase interaction between Creighton and students and make it an even more personal university.”
Forrest, a sophomore Business Management and Entrepreneurship double major, wants to make the position of vice president of Student Affairs a personal link between students and the university’s administration.
“The goal is to best represent the wants, needs and desires of every student at Creighton,” Forrest said.
He added that whoever wins the position should listen and interact with students to find out what they really want.
“The role is representative of the entire Creighton student body,” Forrest said.
The business aspect of the position should not be the focus, Forrest said.
“You can’t narrow it to one goal,” Forrest said. “It has to be about the students.”
Forrest is currently a Swanson Hall senator and said the role of president of his high school’s senior class helped prepare him for the position.
“Students should vote for me because I’m gonna get it done,” Forrest said. “I have a go-getter attitude all of the time.”
The Denver Broncos fan is also a member of Creighton’s Lacrosse team, an avid church-goer and enjoys playing the trumpet. He also enjoys a good cigar.
“I like getting a cigar in the right environment,” he said.
“Losing all track of time and just mulling everything over and just talking.”
