Highly Recommended Apple Systems
Many of our prospective and current majors have asked us what computer we recommend buying. Through a new partnership with Apple, we are pleased to endorse a specially discounted MacBook Pro laptop system bundle. Mac is the hardware and software of choice for professionals in our field; we have been a Mac department for many years and encourage you to consider this opportunity to try the Macintosh platform if you are not already familiar with Apple computers.
We stress that we highly recommend but do not require this computer. For those students who are considering or enrolled in the Journalism and Mass Communication major tracks and wish to use their own computer at Creighton, we teach exclusively using Macintosh computers. We do not support Windows computers for any of our courses, nor do our servers or software support Windows functionality. However, the MacBook Pro uses an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and using Apple’s Boot Camp software, is capable of running Windows operating systems and applications if a student requires Windows for a minor course of study.
To take advantage of this discount, simply click the Recommended Apple Systems link in the next column, and authenticate that you are a Creighton Student using your netID and "BLUE" password.
